Swift Current Agricultural and Exhibition Association 2023 announces its Frontier Days Ambassador
The Swift Current Agricultural and Exhibition Association announces the 2023 Frontier Days Ambassador: Gull Lake’s Emma Brost.
The role of the Frontier Days Ambassador is to promote the Frontier Days regional fair at various events throughout the year, to represent the Swift Current Agricultural & Exhibition Association, and positively demonstrate the prairie way of life. The Frontier Days Ambassador is the highest honour for a youth in Southwest Saskatchewan and is a great way to be part of the community. Throughout the crowning year, the Ambassador participates in various functions in Swift Current as well as the Southwest area. In recognition of the Ambassador’s year spent representing Frontier Days, they will be awarded a $2,000.00 scholarship at the end of their term. In partnership with our sponsors, the Ambassador also receives a keepsake buckle, sponsored clothing, and a styled photoshoot.
Emma Brost is in her Grade 12 year at Gull Lake School. Her family runs a purebred black and red angus operation and primarily uses their horses to work with the cattle in the warmer months. Emma has been a member of the 4-H beef project for 9 years, which has provided her with many opportunities to gain skills in public speaking, travel, build community relationships, and more. Emma also handles all aspects of her small business, “The Wild Lilac”. Agriculture plays a large role in Emma’s life, and she hopes to positively advocate for the industry during her term as Frontier Days Ambassador.
Emma is interested in the medical field, and plans to attend SAIT in the fall to become an ultrasound tech. Emma has ambitious goals of growing her entrepreneurial ventures.
We are very excited to have Emma join us at the Swift Current Ag & Ex as our 2023 Frontier Days Ambassador.
Emma’s crowning will take place at Picnic in the Park on June 4, 2023, at 2:30pm, Riverside Park, Swift Current SK.
