Lethbridge Police charge five males in connection with robbery, kidnapping

Lethbridge Police have charged five males in connection with an incident where a male and female were robbed at gunpoint in a hotel room and extorted for money.

On October 30, 2023 police responded to a hotel along the 2000 block of 7 Avenue South following a robbery by a group of males who were armed with firearms. The victims reported three male subjects, who were masked, forced their way into the room, demanded money and tied them up. An undisclose­d amount was initially e-transferre­d before the male victim was forced into a cab and taken to a nearby bank where further cash was withdrawn and turned over to the subjects. The victims were assaulted and additional property was stolen from the hotel room before the subjects fled the area. This was a targeted incident.

Following an extensive investigat­ion by members of the Criminal Investigat­ion Section, five subjects were identified. Four have been arrested and one is currently wanted on outstandin­g warrants.

Fabian Leon Starkas Chief Body-Beebe, 28, of the Blood Reserve, Deaken Daychief, 21, of Lethbridge, Adam Eric Sebok, 30, of Lethbridge, and Charles William Good Striker, 37, of Calgary, have each been charged with break and enter commit robbery, robbery, kidnapping, extortion, using an imitation firearm while committing an offence, being disguised while committing an offence, sexual assault, assault with a weapon, and uttering threats.

Daychief, Sebok and Good Striker have been remanded in custody and Chief Body-Beebe has been released with conditions.

Sebok and Chief Body-Beebe are scheduled to appear in court December 11, Daychief on December 18 and Good Striker on December 22.

Marvin Blake Weasel Head, 39, of the Blood Reserve, is facing the same charges as above and warrants for his arrest have been issued. A photo of Weasel Head is included for release.
