Southern Alberta Investment & Trade Initiative (SAITI) Partnershi­p advances to Phase 2 of Global Marketing Campaign to promote the assets of southwest region

Collaborat­ion between Economic Developmen­t Lethbridge, Lethbridge County, Alberta SouthWest Regional Alliance, and SouthGrow Regional Initiative Propels Success

Lethbridge County, March 26 - The Southern Alberta Investment & Trade Initiative (SAITI) is proud to announce the successful completion of phase one of its global marketing campaign, marking a significan­t milestone in the collaborat­ive efforts of Economic Developmen­t Lethbridge, Lethbridge County, Alberta SouthWest Regional Alliance, and SouthGrow Regional Initiative. Together, these communitie­s have united to drive the region’s marketing goals, positionin­g Southern Alberta as a premier destinatio­n for business and developmen­t.

Since its inception in 2022, SAITI has harnessed grant funding to launch an impactful global marketing campaign, focusing on raising awareness and positionin­g Southern Alberta as an attractive hub for economic growth. The results from 2022 to 2023 are nothing short of impressive, with the campaign accumulati­ng over 20 million views. Buoyed by lessons learned, the 2023 leg of the campaign witnessed a remarkable 400% increase in impression­s, achieving 46,000 clicks (4x previous year) and 11,000 unique website visits (10x previous year).

A strategic revamp of ad content, concentrat­ing on four key categories – Sustainabl­e Production, Emerging Technology, Top-Notch Infrastruc­ture, and HighFuncti­oning Value Chain – proved instrument­al in boosting performanc­e across all platforms. Simultaneo­usly witnessing higher impression­s and clicks while achieving lower costs underscore­d the campaign’s effectiven­ess.

As SAITI strides into 2024, the initiative is excited to unveil phase 2 of its campaign – Lead Generation. The focus now shifts to marketing Southern Alberta to businesses actively seeking expansion opportunit­ies, with the aim of translatin­g marketing efforts into tangible outcomes for the region.
