- Contributed Road Rage Incident:

On April 30, 2024 at 10:20 am, Brooks RCMP were dispatched to a collision which resulted in two people physically fighting one another. Police attended the scene and learned that no collision had occurred but rather a road rage incident. Police determined it had been a consensual fight and no charges were laid. Brooks RCMP would like to advise the public that when you sit in the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle, you are responsible for what happens in that vehicle and outside. Road rage incidents can cause accidents, physical injury and a lot of mental stress. Please take a moment to think about what it means to be a responsible driver and lets keep our streets safe.

Brooks RCMP encourages safe driving during the spring season

Brooks, Alta. - With the weather warming up during the spring season, there is an increase in traffic on Alberta’s streets and highways. From motorcycles and off-road vehicles, to cyclists and pedestrians, your Brooks RCMP is asking that all road users share the roadways responsibly in order to keep each other safe.

Spring is also the time when road work begins or resumes. Pothole repairs, highway maintenance, and other road repairs means more workers on the roads or shoulders.

Brooks RCMP reminds road users to use caution when travelling through construction zones. Increase your following distance and avoid distractions.
