August 10 – Blind Canyon
Front Canyon Reclamation Hike and Weed Pull – Blind Canyon, Once again, In conjunction with the Nature Conservancy of Canada CCWC will be organizing a weed pull at the old farm site in the canyon.
Enjoy the beautiful scenery and learn about the history of the area. There will be a moderate hike of about 1 hour into the site. Packhorses will assist in removal of the weeds. Contact Wendy Ryan at 403-627-4106 to register or email office@ccwc.ab.ca to register or for further information.
August 11 — Milk River
Milk RIver Kinette Charity Fun Mixed Golf Scramble (50/50 draw; door prizes; $5,000 Hole In One Prize; registration 9:30 a.m.; shotgun 10:30 a.m. 18 holes, lunch and dinner included. $70 per person. AppleFest! 2018: AppleFest! 2018 will be on August 11th at Galt Gardens (601 - 3rd Avenue South). The 'Learning Tent Workshops will take place at the SAAG. August 23— Milk River
Fifth annual Milk River Scramble. 10:30 shotgun. Enjoy 18 holes of golf, with prizes, lunch and dinner provided. $85 if cart is needed or $75 with your own cart. Monthly jams at the Shaughnessy Community Centre on the third Sunday of each month at 1 p.m.. Come out for an afternoon of music and dancing and supper to round out the day. The cost is $10 per person.
