Taber wins Coors Banquet One Horse Town Contest, tickets on sale
The town of Taber is the winner of the 2018 Coors Banquet One Horse Town Contest.
“The announcement was made on the Coors Banquet social media channels on July 23, and the town and media have been buzzing with the news since,” Jessica Teixeira, the Manager of Brand Public Relations for Molson Coors, said. “Coors Banquet is happy for and proud of Taber.”
Tickets were made available on a first-come, firstserve basis August 20. To learn how to get tickets, visit CoorsBanquet.ca/OHT.
For being the 2018 Coors Banquet One Horse Town, Teixeira says that Taber will receive a free, legendary concert experience on Saturday, September 15th at Confederation Park courtesy of Coors Banquet. The concert will feature top country music artists Kira Isabella, Tim Hicks, and Dallas Smith.
“Coors Banquet has been stubbornly brewed in small-town Golden, Colorado since 1873 and has never wavered on the belief that you get what you put in,” Teixeira said.
Teixeira says that out of respect for the towns involved in the contest, Coors Banquet does not disclose final rankings. However, she says that all six finalist towns rallied together and worked hard to garner a record number of votes, making the race a tight one from the very start.
“The reaction to the win was very positive with so many people voting every day,” Teixeira said. “Residents were thrilled to hear that the hard work paid off. Everyone is excited to get their hands on tickets. This win didn’t come easy for Taber, but that struggle makes it that much sweeter. We’re so excited to celebrate the small-town residents of Taber by bringing them this experience they’ll never forget.”
