Gleichen RCMP make drug-related arrests at Siksika
Two sets of arrests relating to drugs last week at Siksika Reserve:
• On Sept. 13, the Gleichen RCMP arrested individuals believed to be responsible for trafficking a large amount of Methamphetamine's and prescription pills in Gleichen and the Siksika Nation.
The subject of a lengthy drug investigation, local residents: Vickey Lilgedahl, 59, and Gary Donald Tracy, 50, have been charged with several counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Resisting Arrest.
Initially seizing a large amount of Methamphetamine and Canadian Currency, investigators executed a search warrant at their residence and further recovered a stash of Oxycodone and proceeds of crime to include an All Terrain Vehicle.
Estimating the total street value of the seizure to be approximately $10,000, Lilgedahl and Tracy were scheduled to appear in Provincial Court.
• On Sept. 11, Gleichen RCMP executed a Search Warrant at a suspected drug house on the Siksika Nation.
Arresting residents, investigation revealed that premise occupants were trafficking in nerve pain medication and selling it to users on the Siksika Reserve.
Charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Crystal Bullchief, 44, Melfort Threesuns, 50, and Charlene Raweater, 19 were released on their own Recognizance and are scheduled to appear in Siksika Provincial Court on Sept. 20.
