Sept. 22 — Bar U Historic Site
A second Threshing Day and Hamburger Soup Fundraiser takes place on Saturday, September 22. The Bar U community has been celebrating “Rhythm of the Land” from spring seed planting through fall harvest. The stooks are drying for the final stage – the Threshing! Threshing will take place on Sept. 22. Join the harvest crew loading the bundles onto horse drawn wagons for their journey to the vintage threshing machine. During the threshing, join interpreters and a special guest presentation by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) representative Kathleen MacDonald on “Farm to Table”, featuring food safety in Canada. On September 22, join the Friends of the Bar U Historic Ranch Association for a Hamburger Soup Fundraiser being served at the harvest with all proceeds going to the Friends of the Bar U. The Friends of the Helen Schuler Nature Centre Society is proud to present the official DVD release of the local documentary Wildlife of the Oldman River Valley filmed by Rick Andrews. The screening and DVD release will take place on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at 3:00p.m. at the Lethbridge Public Library (main branch) in support of the Helen Schuler Nature Centre’s Outdoor Learning Classroom and Amphitheatre project. St. Peter's Catholic Church Annual Fall DInner at the Milk River Civic Centre starts at 1 p.m. Cost is adults $15; children 6-10 is $5 and 5 and under are free. Make table and silent auction.

Hosted by Rotary Club of Lethbridge Sunrise on Thursday, October 4, from 7– 8:15 a.m. at the Nord-Bridge Senior Centre, (1904 – 13 Avenue North) in Lethbridge the Los Amigos Send-Off Breakfast will take place. Vehicles depart at 8:15 a.m. Breakfast will be served at 7:00 am Pay at the door - $15 – Cash or cheque. The Los Amigos convoy of six vehicles will depart for Mexico at 8:15 a.m. on October 4. Join them for the Send-Off Breakfast and bid farewell to our 2018 project team!

Lethbridge Volkswagen Oktoberfest YQL is back for it's 5th year of great German Beer, great German Food and amazing entertainment. We have expanded to Exhibition Park this year to expand and grow the festival and are excited to turn the main pavilion into a Bier Haus.
