Oct. 12 Bob Westrop Gala at Heritage Acres Farm Museum an inspiration
The 2nd Annual Harvest Gala will be held on Friday, October 12, at Heritage Acres Farm Museum near Pincher Creek.
The Gala kicks off at 5:30 p.m. and guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the Homestyle Turkey Supper, the music by Phil Lethbridge and guests, the dancing, and the wonderful atmosphere as provided by the historic barn in the southwest corner of the province.
“This year we are celebrating the outstanding contributions that Bob Westrop has provided to our community over many years,” said Mark Barber MBA, the Executive Director of Heritage Acres Farm Museum.
Barber says that Bob Westrop is a local rancher who has always participated in community events when requested and is also an auctioneer that has served as an emcee for multiple events over the years.
The Gala itself, Barber says, was founded last year by former President, Ken Lewis, as a way to raise funds for the business and also recognize the organization’s many volunteers. Proceeds from the event will go to assist Heritage Acres with operating and project expenses.
“The fundraising aspect of this now annual event is very important,” Barber said. “However, it is also very important to provide our community with a wonderful celebration of the concluded harvest.”
Barber says that Heritage Acres volunteers and other community members enjoyed a wonderful evening and filled the barn last year.
Tickets for the event are $30 for ages 16 and over; $20 for ages 7-16; and free for ages 6 and under with limited supper tickets available. Tickets are available at Pincher Creek Office Supply, Seeds Flower Shop, and at The Heritage Acres Farm Museum.
“Tickets are going fast. If this sounds like an evening that you would enjoy, you will want to reserve your tickets soon,” Barber said.
