October 26 — Nanton

2018 Poppy Campaign will commence in Nanton on October 26. A ceremony of Remembranc­e will be held at the Nanton Cenotaph adjacent to the Bomber Command Museum of Canada, commencing at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, November 11 followed by a ceremony in the main hall of the Nanton Community Centre. All residents are invited to attend.

October 26 — Pincher Creek

Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village (1037 McLachlin Drive) will be hosting Spooky Town...after Dark starting with the "Witching Hour" starting at 6:30 p.m. $20 advance tickets. No minors. Includes creepy appetizer, prizes, spooky activities. (6:30-7:30 p.m.-earn casino fun money going down the haunted alley through Jeerers Creepers Haunted Corner - courtesy Matthew Hilton High. October 27 — Barons

Create a beautiful Shadow Box Frame, instructed by Joanne Vadnais of Julie Pike, Oct. 27 at 1 p.m. at the Barons Community Hall. Participan­ts will hand-craft a Christmas-themed shadow box; choose from three colour scheme - red and green, black and gold or blue and silver (indicate colour choice when registerin­g, and also either a black or white shadow box). October 28 — Lethbridge

South Country Jamboree Society will hold a jam session October 28. Takes place at 1 p.m. Lethbridge Legion Memorial Hall, costumes optional, meals may be ordered from Great Plate Catering after 3 p.m.

October 28 — Picture Butte

Picture Butte Trinity United Church is holding their annual Fall Supper at the Elks Hall, 112 – 4th Street South, from 5 to 7 p.m.Cost is $20 for adults and $10 for children under 12. Take outs available. All are welcome.

October 29 — Claresholm

Gary Watson will share his experience­s with CF-104s in the RCAF at Marville, France & Lahr, Germany during the Cold War. Goes Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 41 in Claresholm. Sponsored by the Friends of the Claresholm & District Museum and the Royal Canadian Legion.

October 31 — Pincher Creek

The Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village (1037 McLachlin Drive) will be having "Halloween in the Village." It goes from 1-6 p.m. Free admission and hot chocolate, Haunted Alley through Jeerers Creepers Haunted Corner courtesy Matthew Hilton High; the Family Center Halloween activity; pioneer Village trick or Treating. Concession: hot food available for purchase. Come in costume, bring candy bags.

November 3 — Coalhurst

The Miners Day’s Historical Associatio­n of Coalhurst will hold its annual Christmas Craft Sale Nov. 3 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Coalhurst Community Centre, 527 50 Ave. 50 tables of vendors and concession.

November 3 — Coaldale

The Gem of the West's annual Craft and Hobby Show is taking place Nov. 3 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Admission by donation to the museum. Tables at this event are $20; contact Myrna at 403345-4521 or mlmo@shaw.ca.

November 6 — Lethbridge

The Gem of the West Museum Society is pleased to be hosting the 23rd annual Carol Festival. Doors open 6:30 p.m., performanc­e begins at 7 p.m. Enjoy music offrom talented local choirs, singers, and musicians! Admission by donation.

December 8 — Milk River

Community Christmas Party presented by the Town of Milk River. Enjoy live entertainm­ent by Milk River's own Border Bound, a catered meal by Laura Balog, and a cash bar operated by the Milk River fire department. Door prizes, 50/50, and the Ugly Christmas Sweater contest. Wear your ugliest Christmas sweater for a shot at winning a prize in the contest. The Christmas party takes place on Saturday at the Milk River Civic Centre. Doors open at 6 p.m. dinner at 7 p.m, and the entertainm­ent starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $40 and available at the Milk River town office. All proceeds raised goes to ERHS and MRES.
