Impaired driving charges laid after June 25 collision fatality
Charges have been laid against a 62 year old Lethbridge man who RCMP believe was operating a vehicle involved in a fatal collision on Highway 3 near Coalhurst on June 25, 2018.
This collision resulted in the death of a 42 year old man from the Piikani Nation.
Douglas Bagnall has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding 80 mg% causing death.
Bagnall was arrested on Nov. 18, held in custody for a bail hearing.
He has now been granted release based on conditions.
Bagnall’s next court date was to be on Nov. 27 at the Lethbridge Provincial Court.
As this matter is now before the courts no further information will be provided.
