Lethbridge Public Library offers Food for Fines

-

Lethbridge Public Library is teaming up with local food banks to encourage community members with library fines on late items to participate with the Food for Fines program Dec. 1 – 12.

During the campaign, community members with late fines and hold fees can donate food for our local food banks instead of paying the fines to the Library. Donations are applicable to late fines and hold fees, however, they cannot be used in place of lost items or other account charges.

Donations of non-perishable food items are gratefully accepted, and the Library encourages donations that are within date, not past expiry, for the most benefit to local food banks.

Each food item donated will equate to $5 off library fines (four ramen packages will account for one item).

Donations will be accepted at the Main Branch, 810 5th Ave. South, and at the Crossings Branch, 255 Britannia Blvd. West.
