Calgary Observator­y hosts an ‘After Sunday Dinner’ of total lunar eclipse

Southern Alberta will get a premium of Sunday Jan. 20, evening’s total lunar eclipse starting after dinner: https://www.timeanddat­e.com/ eclipse/in/canada/calgary>.

Albertans are going to get one of the best views in the country as the shadowing will start at 7:36 p.m, MST peak at 10:12 p.m.and finish at 12:48 a.m.

While it is a naked eye object all can enjoy, if you want to raise the bar and snapshot it, astronomy expert Alan Dyer has a free guide called "How to Photograph the 2019 Lunar Eclipse: https://amazing sky.net/2019/01/01/photograph­ing-the-totaleclip­se-of-the-moon>.

Experts from the Royal Astronomic­al Society of Canada (Calgary), http://calgary.rasc.ca/> will be on hand with a lot of equipment and know-how to help you enjoy the experience.
