The Fore­most Mu­nic­i­pal Li­brary Board is host­ing a week-long, on­line auc­tion in lieu of its annual Pump­kin Auc­tion night. That auc­tion will be held fro Oct. 30-Nov. 6 but do­na­tions must be re­ceived by Oct. 23. Cash do­na­tions can be sent by mail or via email to for­lib@short­grass.ca or di­rect do­na­tions though the li­brary web­site or the the auc­tion web­site (Auc­tria).

The Brooks Gun Show will be tak­ing place at the S Canada Cen­tre and will fea­ture a dis­play guns, knives, shoot­ing sup­plies, col­lec­tor ms, items for archery, fish­ing sup­plies, cus­tom Hand­made cab­i­nets, wild game jerky and much re. All pro­vin­cial firearm ordinances and laws st be obeyed. The event will run from 10 a.m.-.m. on Sat., Oct. 24 and from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 25.
