Alberta Beef Producers delegate election results announced

- CONTRIBUTED

The official ballot counting for the Alberta Beef Producers (ABP) delegate elections took place on January 5 and 6 with the results determined by Election Buddy and verified by ABP’s Chief Returning Officer. The Southeast and Southwest Zones held elections while delegates in the Central, Northwest and Northeast Zones were elected by acclamation. Two vacancies remain in the Central Zone and three position are available in Northwest Zone. This was the first delegate election held under the new ABP zone structure with the entire slate of delegates up for re-election as we moved from 54 to 35 delegates.

While this election process, along with our producer meetings, looked different this year, we are pleased with the results and encourage producers to come forward to fill the remaining vacancies. If you were unable to attend the virtual ABP Producer Town Hall, you can view the recording here. The 2020 Annual Report is available online or you can request a print copy from the ABP office.
