Coaldale welcomes Alberta AG Centre into rapidly expanding business community

-

The Town of Coaldale is thrilled to welcome Alberta AG Centre to its rapidly expanding business community. Alberta AG Centre is a growing enterprise that offers a lineup of technologically innovative agricultural equipment along with other product lines to provide growers optimum performance in the field and meet the demands of Alberta farmers.

“We’ve been operating in Alberta since 2016 and now have five locations across the province,” said Jason Wilson, President & CEO of AB AG Centre. “We strategically decided to locate one of our branches in Coaldale to position ourselves for future growth in southern Alberta with the addition of Medicine Hat in early 2021. Coaldale has lots to offer our business including low commercial tax rates and access to two major highways.”

Each store features a full stock of parts, a knowledgeable sales team and a complement of skilled technicians.

“Part of the reason we moved to Coaldale was the labour pool; many of our employees live in Coaldale or Lethbridge,” said Wilson. “We anticipate that the employment pool will double over the next 5-10 years, so we’ll be looking for people to join our team in every department, including trades, sales, and administration.”

“Council has recognized for a few years now that increasing the size and scale of our business community was an important part of building a vibrant community, and in the last few years we’ve put the work in to achieve just that,” said Cam Mills, Manager of Economic Development and Strategic Initiatives for the Town of Coaldale. “Alberta AG Center recognizing the opportunity in Coaldale is not only a great thing for our agricultural sector – it’s great for our local residents looking for opportunities to work in town and for the town as a whole. We’re thrilled to have them as part of our growing business community.”

Alberta AG Centre places a strong emphasis on customer service and strives to build long-term relationships with their local growers.

“We recognize the importance of being an active part of the community,” said Darryl Visser, Branch/ Territory Manager at Alberta AG Centre. “Relocating to Coaldale allows us to be closer to our customers and our labour force and be able to continue to grow these valuable relationships.”

Alberta AG Centre’s premium equipment lines include the CLAAS line of products, designed by a dedicated engineering staff located at numerous factories worldwide and focused on the production and design of harvesting equipment. The design, performance and reliability of this equipment has made CLAAS an international market leader; Alberta AG Centre is looking forward to supplying these products to the region out of their new location in Coaldale.
