Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede announces 23rd Annual Beef Pen Show and Cowboy Christmas Trade show

The Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede will be hosting the 23rd Annual Beef Pen Show and Cowboy Christmas Tradeshow on December 17th & 18th at the Cypress Centre.

This annual event, presented by Zoetis, features commercial cattle exhibitors, purebred cattle exhibitors, and 4H classes. There are a variety of breeds for the cattle producer industry.

Friday evening will feature the popular All Breed Steak Sampling at 6 p.m. in the Auditorium, followed by the Purebred Breeders Commercial Open Heifer Show, Purebred Heifer Show, and the Commercial Open Heifer Show. Saturday’s schedule of events kicks off with a Pancake Breakfast starting at 8 a.m., followed by 4H Shows, Commercial Bred Heifer Show, Purebred Bull Pen Show, and the Cattlemen’s Choice.

The Cowboy Christmas Tradeshow opens at 9 a.m. on Saturday and features jewelry, baking, candles, western tack, leather gloves, wooden toys, and so much more.

“We are looking forward to hosting the 23rd Annual Beef Pen Show and Cowboy Christmas Tradeshow next month”, says Kara Brake, General Manager. “We were unable to host this event in 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictio­ns, so we are excited to welcome exhibitors and patrons back to this great event.”

The hours of the Been Pen Show are as follows:

• Friday, December 17th 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

• Saturday, December 18th 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede is operating under the Restrictio­ns Exemption Program. All vendors and patrons are required to provide proof of vaccinatio­n (QR Code only), a privately-paid negative rapid test result taken within 72 hours, or documentat­ion of a medical exemption. Rapid tests will be available on site at a cost of $40.
