February and March events coming to Taber

- BY KENYON STRONSKI LOCAL JOURNALISM INITIATIVE REPORTER REPORTER@TABERTIMES.COM

January has come and gone, leaving behind the laughter and cheer of Christmas and New Years, yet that doesn’t mean the mood has to be gloomy, as the Town of Taber has a couple of events planned for the coming months.

The first is the Valentine’s Day cookies event, where the town will order, write a note, and deliver your cookies to anyone within Taber for $5.

“Last year was the first year the Valentine’s cookies were run, and it was a little bit of a response to COVID. I was on maternity leave, but I know we wanted to do something special for our seniors in town, so we delivered cookies for every senior in both Lindenview and Clearview Lodge, and we wanted to put it out in town as we can deliver anywhere within town limits,” said Emily Hembrough, Taber’s arts, culture and events coordinator.
