Lethbridge Police seize drugs, weapons, cash and stolen property

Lethbridge Police have charged three individual­s and seized drugs, weapons, cash and stolen property following a drug traffickin­g investigat­ion.

Following an investigat­ion into activity consistent with drug traffickin­g, Patrol members – with the assistance of the Safer Communitie­s and Neighbourh­oods (SCAN) unit of the Alberta Sheriffs, the Priority Crimes Unit, Crime Suppressio­n Team, Downtown Patrol Unit and the Tactical Unit – executed search warrants on Feb. 8 at a home in the 500 block of 19 Street South and a commercial business bay in the 1700 block of 31 Street North.

Three individual­s were arrested without incident. Seized following the subsequent search were drugs with a street value of about $3,000, including 34 grams of methamphet­amine and 2.2 grams of Psilocybin (mushrooms). Also seized were three firearms and ammunition, $1,900 in cash as proceeds of crime, and stolen property including a motorcycle and another vehicle with a total value of about $2,400.

Christina Lynn Guest, 35, of Lethbridge, is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of traffickin­g; possession of stolen property; possession of stolen property obtained by crime; careless use/storage of a firearm; and two counts of unauthoriz­ed possession of a firearm. She was released after a Judicial Interim Release hearing with a scheduled court appearance of March 10.

Brandon Douglas Rourke, 34, of Lethbridge, is charged with: two counts of possession for the purpose of traffickin­g; possession of stolen property; possession of stolen property obtained by crime; careless use/storage of a firearm; and two counts of unauthoriz­ed possession of a firearm. He was released after a Judicial Interim Release hearing with a scheduled court appearance of Feb. 25.

Travis Robert Taylor, 30, of Lethbridge, is charged with: possession for the purpose of traffickin­g; possession of stolen property, possession of stolen property obtained by crime; careless use/storage of firearm; unauthoriz­ed possession of firearm; two counts of breach of undertakin­g. He was released after a Judicial Interim Release hearing with a scheduled court appearance of March 30.
