If the cold weather is causing you to feel trapped indoors, you are not alone. While winter is one of the most beautiful times of the year, when we experience a deep freeze it can trigger lack of motivation and the desire to hibernate.

It’s so important to get outside even in the winter weather, so grab that winter coat, toque, warm boots and mittens and take advantage of our winter season.

Making a bucket list can keep you on track and give you the motivation to get going.

What will be on YOUR WINTER BUCKET LIST?

Here are some fun examples that could fill your winter bucket list:

1. Take a wintery walk around your community, trying out different pathways

2. Find out if your community has an outdoor skating rink, go for a skate

3. Have a winter camp fire

4. Build a snowman, make a snow angel

5. Make some homemade bird feeders and hang them up outside

6. Write down a list of goals for the New Year

7. Go tobogganing

8. Try a new winter activity like skiing, snowshoeing, snow tubing, dogsledding

9. Design a Scavenger Hunt

10. Start a new tradition in the winter time

11. Have a snow picnic

12. Catch snowflakes on your tongue The winter season can be amazing! Just remember that to really enjoy the winter temperatures you must dress for the weather. There is so much excitement and enjoyment to be had in the winter months, and to stay on track create a bucket list.

A winter bucket list will push you out of you comfort zone and help you conquer the feeling of hibernation and fatigue.
