-

4-H Alberta is proud to announce the 2021 4-H Alberta scholarship recipients that were selected through the annual 4-H Alberta Scholarship Program.

Every year, 4-H Alberta offers close to $300,000 in scholarship funding through its 250+ scholarships that 4-H Alberta’s youth can apply for in support of their post-secondary endeavors. In 2021, 226 scholarships were awarded and distributed to eligible youth from across Alberta.

Detailed listings of the scholarship recipients and their respective scholarships can be found here: https://www.4hab.com/wp-content/ uploads/2022/01/2021-4-H-AlbertaProvincial-Scholarship-Recipients-Updated-January-12-2022.pdf and https:// www.4hab.com/wp-content/ uploads/2022/01/2021-4-H-Alberta-Additional-Scholarship-Recipients-UpdatedJanuary-12-2022.pdf

4-H Alberta is able to offer its comprehensive scholarship program thanks to the generous support and investment of donors and sponsors.

“We are extremely proud and honoured to be able to offer so many scholarship opportunities to deserving youth. This support will help them pursue their career goals and empower them to soon make vital impacts in their communities,” said Kurt Kinnear, CEO of 4-H Alberta. “At the same time, we know that we would not be able to make this huge impact without our funders and supporters and we are incredibly grateful for their generous and continued support!”

The cost for post-secondary education and vocational training continues to rise. In 2021 - to meet the ever-growing demand for scholarship funding - 4-H Alberta established five (5) new scholarships with the help of generous supporters and donors: the Chuck Groeneveld Memorial Scholarship, the Marilyn Sharp 4-H Scholarship, the Wolf Carbon Solutions 4-H Scholarship, the Wolf Future Leaders 4-H Scholarship, and the Wright Family Scholarship.

“We have amazing youth that go through the 4-H Alberta program and it is an honour and pleasure to help them become the leaders they aspire to be. A huge thank you goes out to everybody who supports these great youth and our youth leadership development program,” added Kurt Kinnear.

The application period for the 4-H Alberta Scholarship Program is March 1, 2022 – May 2, 2022 and the online application, which is proudly sponsored by AgCall, is accessible through the 4-H Alberta website: https://www.4hab. com/scholarships/
