BEWARE OF ESV REFORMATION STUDY BIBLE

-

“When the centurion, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly, this man was the Son of God,” Mark 15:39. Therefore it is manifest that Martin Micron and those of his mind, do fearfully err when they say, “The man Christ was not the Son of God; he had no Father; but there are two sons in Christ – the one the Son of God without mother, and impassive – and the other the son of mankind, or the son of Mary without father, and he passive,” &c.

I think this may be called rejecting the Son of God.

Menno Simons to ‘Reformed’ Rev. John A’Lasko 1544.

You confessed two Sons in Christ, and that the crucified One was not God’s Son, as you, in fact, do yet; whereby you had already finished the discussion. You could not answer a word to all the Scriptures I read.

“But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the Sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God”. John 5:17,18.

Paul says, “Great is the mystery of godliness. God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory,” 1 Tim. 3:16.

Menno Simons to ‘Reformed’ Rev. Martin Micron 1556

R.C. Sproul’s ESV Bible says, “He was manifested in the flesh”. 1 Tim 3:16 (Same as New World Translation of the J.W.)
