Lethbridge Police investigating fatal motor vehicle collision

The Lethbridge Police Service Traffic Response Unit (TRU) is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision which occurred Oct. 4.

Police responded to reports of a collision between a car and a motorcycle at the intersection of Mayor Magrath Drive South and Scenic Drive just after 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 4, 2022. Investigators with TRU have determined the motorcycle was southbound on Mayor Magrath Drive and proceeding through the intersection when it was struck by a northbound vehicle turning west onto Scenic Drive.

The motorcyclist, a 25-year-old Lethbridge man, suffered significant injuries and later died in hospital. Neither the 46-year-old male driver of the car or his female passenger were injured.
