Private Ivan E. Workman

Ivan, from Hill Spring, served with the 49th Edmonton Regiment from 1939-45. He served in Britain, France, Holland, Italy, Belgium and Germany and was among the first troops to land on D-Day. He was awarded the 1939-45 Star, the Italy France and Germany Stars, the Defence medal, the Canadian Volunteer ServiceMedal with Clasp and the War medal.
