Charles Broadbent
Enlisting with the 13th Canadian Mounted Rifles in 1915, Charles Broadbent of Cardston subsequently transferred to the Fourth Garry Horse and then to the 10th Battalion, Canadian Infantry. He fought at Vimy Ridge and received the Medal of Merit for his part in the Battle of Amiens. Lance Corporal Broadbent was killed in action near Cambrai, France on Sept. 28, 1918.
