Hubert Smith

Hubert Smith of the Milk River district was born in 1893 and served in the Canadian Army in the First World War. He was trained in Calgary and stationed in England from 1914 to 1916, but was forced to return home as a result of an injury he sustained during the war. Hubert married Esther Hovey of the Milk River area and they raised five children — Ellen, George, Bert, Etta and David.
