Thomas Francis Brian McAndrews
Brian McAndrews, of the Vauxhall area, served as a Flying Officer with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He enlisted in the RCAF in April 1941 and trained as a pilot, and later as a navigator, bomber, gunner and wireless operator. Brian flew 57 bombing raids during the SecondWorldWar, in the Italian campaign, as well as over Germany. He later served as a navigation and bombing instructor, and enlisted in the RCAF on contract from 1953 to 1959, assigned to fighter control.
