Lethbridge County reeve receives Platinum Jubilee Medal
Reeve Tory Campbell was a proud recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal at Rural Municipalities of Alberta convention in Edmonton Nov. 7.
The award is a distinct honour, given to citizens of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth countries who have made a significant impact in their communities. Award recipients at the November 7 ceremony included Mayors and Reeves from across the province who were nominated for their outstanding contributions to the betterment of their municipalities.
“I am truly honoured to receive this distinguished award,” says Reeve Campbell. “As municipal councillors, we are elected to improve our communities and the lives of our citizens
– a responsibility which is not taken lightly. I, along with all members of Lethbridge County Council, strive to provide good governance and solutions to challenges for the benefit of the County. I would like to congratulate my fellow award recipients who have been recognized as community builders in Alberta.”
Reeve Campbell has been a member of Council since 2017 and is currently beginning his second term as Reeve.
Rural Municipalities of Alberta is an independent organization which advocates for the province’s rural counties and municipal districts. The Fall 2022 Convention and Tradeshow is November 7-10 in Edmonton and offers several workshops and networking opportunities for Councils and municipal staff.
