Style. Shopping. Spirits. Put them all together, and what do you get? S3. Don’t think trade show. Think experience. S3 is a one-day event targeted at people who appreciate the finer things in life. It runs from 3 to 11 p.m. Oct. 13, at the Conexus Arts Centre.

“I created an event that I would want to go to,” show producer Michelle Strawford said.

“We truly wanted to bring to the showcase the best of the best,” she said. “It encompasses New York-style fashion shows, live music, dancers, food and spirit samples. But the best part is 65 shops and services that are there. And truly, they are creating a miniature pop-up store.”

“When we envisioned this event, we really wanted it to be a night or a day out,” Strawford said.

“It’s going to be a stellar event with loads of shopping, fashion and entertainment.”

Local country music artist Amy Nelson will be performing, as well as Latino dancers and belly dancers.

Models from Regina-based Edge Agency and fashion stylist Riley Lawson will present three runway shows throughout the day, showcasing fashions from a variety of Saskatchewan businesses, including Regina’s Coda Clothing and Saskatoon’s Era Style Loft.

Mercedes-Benz will be launching a luxury vehicle at the event — the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG.

Contemporary and traditional art by established and emerging Canadian artists will also be showcased.

The event’s target demographic, Strawford said, is “people who work hard, play hard … a group of people that enjoy life and the finer things.”

S3 prize packages, worth approximately $26,000, include everything from plane tickets to a makeover, complete with cosmetic surgery and cosmetic dentistry.

The charity S3 has partnered with is the Leader-Post Christmas Cheer Fund, which supports four local shelters for women and children fleeing domestic abuse: Regina Transition House, YWCA Regina’s Isabel Johnson Shelter, WISH Safe House, and SOFIA House.

Tickets to S3 are $20, available at Pure Clothing and Coda Clothing, as well as at the door.
