Saskatoon firms clean up at Torch Awards
Saskatoon-based businesses and organizations dominated the 2013 Torch awards presented by the Better Business Bureau of Saskatchewan Inc. at the Queensbury Convention Centre in Regina Thursday.
The awards recognize business, professional and not-for-profit organizations that demonstrate “leadership in ethical business practices in their day-today operations through the actions of their employees in striving for service excellence and customer satisfaction,” BBB Sask. said in a press release issued Friday.
“These organizations along with all of the finalists and nominees for the Torch awards in 2013 set the standard in terms of building customer relationships constructed on solid foundations of trust and respect,” the release said.
“The Better Business Bureau of Saskatchewan is proud to have its BBB brand associated with these most trustworthy businesses, and all of the nominees and sponsors involved in this event,” BBB Sask. executive director Pat Heffernan said in the release.
The Torch awards winners in the seven categories are the following:
• Professional Services:
Refresh Inc., Saskatoon.
• Automotive Products and Services: Anderson’s Transmission and Auto Care, Saskatoon.
• Trade, Contractors and Home Improvement: Superior Cabinets, Saskatoon.
• Personal Services and Hospitality: A-Mazing Adventures Inc., Regina.
• Not-For-Profit Organizations: Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan Inc., Saskatoon
• Retail Products and Services: Neechie Gear, Saskatoon.
• Industrial Products & Services: Razertip Industries Inc., Martensville.
