Memorial Gardens pays tribute to fathers

-

This Father’s Day, come join in a very special commemorative event at Regina Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home. All are welcomed, as staff and Managers Trevor Tidridge and Jeff Weafer host a non-denominational service in the chapel, followed by refreshments and complimentary carnations for your father’s resting place. You are invited to stroll the lush garden and woodland landscape and even take part in a free prize draw held at the facility’s newly-expanded mausoleum.

“We know that for many, it can be a challenging and emotional day.” Tidridge nods. “This event provides a tranquil and open forum for families to honour and celebrate their father’s life, and can even help them to preserve a deeper sense of connection with him. We’re proud to be part of that.”

Annual memorial events held throughout the year are an important aspect of Regina Memorial Gardens’ commitment to serving the community and keeping the special memories of loved ones alive for generations to come. Their focus centres on embracing the uniqueness of each individual and offering the kinds of services, products and facilities that enable everyone to choose exactly how they want to be remembered. What’s more, as the city’s only full-service facility, Regina Memorial Gardens offers unprecedented convenience. Now with just one call, a family can take care of all their planning and preplanning for funeral, cremation and cemetery.

“Final arrangements are an essential and unavoidable reality of life,” says Weafer, manager of the on-premises funeral home. “But with everything at one location, we can make the entire planning process much easier on families - and their guests no longer need to make the lengthy procession from the ceremonies to the cemetery to the reception.”

Both Tidridge and Weafer encourage families to become familiarized with the options available well before the need arises. The benefits of thinking ahead are impressive, including automatic protection under their exclusive Family Security Benefit PlanTM which provides free child/grandchild coverage, transfer privileges, flexible payment plans and more. By making formal plans today, families, couples and individuals can maintain their control of the decision making, save money, protect loved ones, and make choices that work best for their faith, culture, taste and budget. And Regina Memorial Gardens offers a full range of amenities to accommodate for their every need.

Case in point, the bright and spacious indoor mausoleum features glass-front niches where photos, and personal mementos can be kept on permanent display. Open 24 hours a day, loved ones can visit throughout the year in secure, climate-controlled comfort, a first in the province. Also unique to the mausoleum is the Legends Tribute Wall, where football fans can show their Rider Pride even after their passing. This feature became immediately popular after its introduction in 2010, and interested families are advised to reserve their place on the wall while prime space is still available.

“Whether someone chooses cremation or burial, whether they prefer something traditional or innovative, we create a one-of-a kind, lasting remembrance that makes a statement about who they are, and provides meaning and comfort for those they have loved.” explained Tidridge. “We’re here to help,” he said. “And our personal consultations and planning tools are always free of charge.”
