Q: What previous cheerleadi­ng experience did you have before joining the Rider Cheer Team?

A: I have had previous experience on the Rebels [Cheerleadi­ng Athletics], but other than that I’ve just danced my whole life.

Q: What prompted you to try out?

A: I tried out because it gave me another opportunit­y to dance and also I wanted to challenge myself to learn another skill (cheerleadi­ng).

Q: How would you sum up your experience to date with the squad?

A: I have met so many amazing people. I have loved every second of it and it has given me so many opportunit­ies I wouldn’t have gotten otherwise.

Q: What are you hoping to get out of the game-day experience as a member of the team?

A: I am excited to get to perform in front of a big crowd. I am excited to see all the excitement from the sideline view.

Q: What are you hoping to get out of the Grey Cup experience?

Q: The Grey Cup is being held in Regina this year. How excited are you to perform at home for the Grey Cup and in the festivitie­s throughout the year leading up to it?

Q: Why is hosting the Grey Cup so important for this city and province?

A: It’s important for other provinces to see how amazing Regina can be as the host of the grey cup.

Q: The Rider Cheer Team always helps out in the community by performing at a number of events. Why is this important and what does it feel like to take part in these events?

A: It’s awesome. It feels amazing to be able to represent the team at events.

Q: What’s your favourite routine/cheer?

A: I love the dance routines.

Q: I know it’s early, but is there a moment that has stood out during your time with the team so far?

A: I have really enjoyed some of the opportunit­ies I have been given so far. The promotions and events we are invited to are so much fun. I love all the fun we have together. I have so many amazing new friends already.

Q: How much longer do you plan to be involved with the squad?

A: Depending on the future, I hope as long as I can.

Q: Is there anything else you’d like to add?

A: I just want to thank the coaches and all my teammates for their support and patience while I am learning all these new cheer skills. I am excited to have many more memories with you all.
