Steen returns to Blues’ lineup

ST. LOUIS — High-scoring St. Louis Blues forward Alexander Steen is set to return this weekend from a concussion.

The Blues activated Steen from injured reserve Friday and said he would be in the lineup Saturday against Anaheim, which is first overall in the NHL.

Steen was second in the NHL with 24 goals when the Blues placed him on IR late last month, retroactiv­e to Dec. 21 when he was injured against Edmonton. He’s second on the team with 38 points, two points behind T.J. Oshie, in 35 games with six game-winning goals.

Oshie, who has scored the Blues’ last three goals, has played in 46 games.

Steen was sidelined soon after signing a three-year, $17.4 million contract extension. He missed 39 games with a concussion in 201112.

Forward Dmitrij Jaskin was assigned to Chicago of the AHL. The 20-year-old Jaskin scored his first career goal Dec. 28 against the Chicago Blackhawks.
