Toyota’s RAV4 remains a favourite for its versatility and attractive price. For 2014, the Toyota gets a raft of new technology with suspension tuned for sportier driving.

The 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe has received plenty of praise for its long list of standard features. It comes in Sport and XL trim. Mid-level: $35,000 to $50,000

The 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee gets an all-new look and a class-leading eight-speed transmission. Billed as “America’s Land Rover,” the SUV is a capable off-roader with a long list of tech goodies.

The 2014 Mercedes-Benz GLK is a great-looking crossover with power and luxury to spare. The GLK 250 diesel boasts hybrid beating highway fuel economy and bold, boxy looks.

The 2014 Audi Q5 is a smaller but luxurious crossover with many engine options, including a diesel, a hybrid, and a hyper-performance version. The interior is top-notch.

The 2014 BMW X5 returns this year better than ever. Although it isn’t as sporty as it used to be, the X5 is still a capable and luxurious SUV.

The 2014 Range Rover Sport is lighter and more capable. The Sport model raises the already high benchmark, allowing drivers to off-road in the most luxurious way possible.
