Prevost, Wyatt looking to extend impressive streaks
Codie Prevost and Wyatt will soon find out if seven is their lucky number when it comes to the Saskatchewan Country Music Association awards.
Nominees for the 2015 SCMA awards were announced Monday morning and both Prevost and Wyatt are in position to extend impressive streaks in their respective fields.
Prevost, who was nominated in five categories, is looking to win the fan’s choice entertainer of the year and male vocalist of the year categories for the seventh consecutive year. Wyatt, a Saskatoon-based band comprising Daniel Fortier, Scott Patrick, Bray Hudson and Cam Ewart, has the opportunity to win the group of the year category for the seventh straight year.
Prevost has won 21 SCMA awards over the past six years while Wyatt has 11 SCMA awards to its credit.
Jess Moskaluke and Prevost topped Monday’s list with five nominations each while Will Ardell collected four nominations. Chris Henderson followed closely with three nominations.
