One dead in collision east of Yorkton

A woman is dead after a twovehicle collision between an SUV and a semi-trailer on Tuesday morning near Calder.

At about 8:15 a.m., Langenburg RCMP responded to the two-vehicle crash on Highway 80, 16 kilometres south of Calder on Heavy Haul Road.

The 48-year-old woman, the lone occupant of the SUV, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-trailer was treated at the scene.

The road remained closed for several hours as an RCMP traffic reconstruc­tionist and the coroner worked at the scene. Langenburg Fire Department and Sunrise Health EMS also attended.

Calder is 240 kilometres northeast of Regina.
