One dead in collision east of Yorkton
A woman is dead after a twovehicle collision between an SUV and a semi-trailer on Tuesday morning near Calder.
At about 8:15 a.m., Langenburg RCMP responded to the two-vehicle crash on Highway 80, 16 kilometres south of Calder on Heavy Haul Road.
The 48-year-old woman, the lone occupant of the SUV, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-trailer was treated at the scene.
The road remained closed for several hours as an RCMP traffic reconstructionist and the coroner worked at the scene. Langenburg Fire Department and Sunrise Health EMS also attended.
Calder is 240 kilometres northeast of Regina.
