Dig conspiracy theories?

-

The TV universe is constantly expanding, and new channels and shows vie for attention just as much as old favourites. Here are the best bets on the box.

Dig

From the executive producers of Homeland and Heroes (Tim Kring and Gideon Raff), comes Dig, a thrilling 10-part television event starring Golden Globe nominee Jason Isaacs and Emmy Award-winner Anne Heche. When Peter Connelly (Isaacs), an FBI agent newly stationed in Jerusalem, begins investigating the murder of a young American, he realizes he has uncovered an ancient international conspiracy that threatens to change the course of human history. Certain the dangerous prophecy is nearing fruition, Connelly must race against the clock to unravel its mystery. (Showcase)

Empire

Oscar-winning music star Jennifer Hudson and Grammy Award-winner Mary J. Blige fortify the series’ talent roster with guest roles in the new episode Sins of the Father. Their characters impact the lives of Andre and Lucious (Trai Byers, Terrence Howard) respectively. A Lyon family gathering turns out to be something of a disaster. Camilla (guest star Naomi Campbell) encourages Hakeem (Bryshere Gray) to

assert himself. (Fox, Omni1)

CSI: Cyber

The 1977 movie Rollercoaster dealt with a villain who targeted amusement park rides, but the methodology is much more high-tech in the new episode CMND:/ Crash. Someone causes a roller-coaster mishap by hacking into its computer and Avery (Patricia Arquette) and her team launch a search for the culprit. (CBS, CTV)

Arrow

Team Arrow, still without Oliver, is desperate to stop Brick (guest star Vinnie Jones) and has little choice but to accept Malcolm’s (John Barrowman) offer of assistance, since he also has an axe to grind against the felon. Flashbacks fill in the blanks about how Malcolm devolved from loving husband and father to stonecold killer in the repeat episode Uprising. (CTV)

American Crime

An encore of the premiere, Episode One, once again introduces the drama series from Oscar-winning screenwriter John Ridley, examining the fallout of a murder through its effects on various people. Timothy Hutton and Felicity Huffman (Desperate Housewives) head the ensemble cast as a grieving, longestranged couple who are the victim’s parents. (ABC)
