Johansson dreams of popcorn in Paris
What do you suppose Scarlett Johansson has always wanted? Great roles? More money? More children with French hubby Romain Dauriac? Eternal youth? World peace?
Nope. To judge by this press release, it’s a chain of popcorn shops in the Ville Lumière.
“It has been a dream of mine and my family for several years to bring our favourite American snack to our favourite European City!” the release says.
“I am so excited to introduce Yummy Pop, a labour of love and Epicurean enthusiasm. My hope is for Yummy Pop to become a Parisian snacking staple and a symbol of friendship between my two most beloved cities, Paris and New York.” The first shop, in the Marais, will have a “soft opening” Oct. 22, with ScarJo on hand.
She’s 31. Their daughter, Rose, is two.
Apparently it’s true: Jennifer Lawrence really is seeing Darren Aronofsky. People got the usual un-named insider to say the two have been “hanging out and are casually dating,” whatever that means.
My theory: it means she’s lost her mind. He’s 21 years older than she is, and not even that great a director. Go ahead, name a really good Darren Aronofsky movie, besides maybe Black Swan. (He does have a Jackie Kennedy biopic coming out in December.)
This romance just doesn’t make sense. Some publicity thing, maybe.

Who knew that Phil Collins can’t stand Paul McCartney?
Collins, out drumming up publicity for his autobio Not Dead Yet, told the Times of London the roots of his resentment extend to some event at Buckingham Palace, no less, back in 2002, during Paul’s unfortunate interlude with Heather Mills.
“McCartney came up with Heather Mills, and I had a first edition of The Beatles by Hunter Davies and I said, ‘Hey Paul, do you mind signing this for me?’ And he said, ‘Oh Heather, our little Phil’s a bit of a Beatles fan.’ And I thought, ‘You (bad word), you (bad word).’ Never forgot it.”
Aren’t these guys too old for this kind of nonsense? Phil’s 65. Paul’s 74.
The Tobey Maguire/Jennifer Meyer breakup was no surprise to people who know them well. They’ve been on the outs since midsummer, the N.Y. Daily News reports. And Tobey — who used to run with Leonardo DiCaprio back in the day — has been with him again, TMZ.com adds.
The site even has a lowlight photo of him schmoozing with Sofia Richie, who previously dated Justin Bieber. They’re at 1 OAK, a West Hollywood hot spot.
TMZ indicates this was just a chance encounter, not a date. After all Tobey is 41 and Sofia’s just 18. Indeed, the site says, Maguire is not dating any one person. He’s just, you know, enjoying the single life and meeting new people. Pathetic, isn’t it?
