FORD SUES CENA FOR FLIPPING GT
John Cena is a WWE professional wrestler and sometimes film star, but he’s also a big car aficionado. But his love of cars has got him into hot water recently with Ford Motor Company concerning its limitededition Ford GT.
Cena was selected by Ford last year to be able to purchase one of around 500 GT supercars the company has built so far, and he picked his up in September. But the Florida resident recently turned around and flipped it for an undisclosed amount, though you can be sure it was far higher than the estimated US$450,000 he paid in the first place. The problem is, Ford has a clause in its purchase contract that states an owner can’t sell the GT for two years after buying it, so the Detroit company filed a lawsuit yesterday against Cena in the U.S. District Court in Michigan for breach of contract, fraudulent misrepresentation, and unjust enrichment.
