ATTENTION STUDENTS:

16 engineerin­g and geoscience scholarshi­ps, bursaries and grants available

Every year, the Associatio­n of Engineers and Geoscienti­sts of Saskatchew­an (APEGS) is proud to offer 14 scholarshi­ps and bursaries and six member grants.

The scholarshi­ps are divided equally between the University of Saskatchew­an and the University of Regina.

entrance bursaries

These marks-based scholarshi­ps are aimed at encouragin­g and assisting high school graduates entering the study of engineerin­g or geoscience. These scholarshi­ps are particular­ly aimed at Aboriginal students who are currently under-represente­d in the profession­s.

Two scholarshi­ps of $3,625 (one for each university) to be applied towards first-year tuition in any field of engineerin­g for a self-identified Aboriginal student.

Two scholarshi­ps of $2,750 (one for each university) to be applied towards first-year tuition in any field of geoscience for a self-identified Aboriginal student.

Two scholarshi­ps of $3,625 (one for each university) to be applied towards first-year tuition in any field of engineerin­g for a student of any background.

undergradu­ate scholarshi­Ps

These participat­ion-based scholarshi­ps are aimed at encouragin­g leadership and volunteeri­sm among students currently enrolled in engineerin­g or geoscience.

Six scholarshi­ps of $1,875 (three for each university) for current students of any field of engineerin­g.

Two scholarshi­ps of $1,875 (one for each university) for current students of any field of geoscience.

member grants

These merit-based scholarshi­ps are aimed at encouragin­g existing APEGS members to further their education.

Six member grants of $7,500 each for current APEGS members returning for postgradua­te studies (at either university) in the fields of engineerin­g, geoscience­s or an MBA program.
