TAIPEI One of the world’s most prestigious literary prizes has been dragged into a spat between China and Taiwan, after it caved to pressure to change the nationality of a Taiwanese nominee.

The Man Booker International Prize said Friday it changed the national origin of Wu Ming-yi, 46, from “Taiwan” to “Taiwan, China” after a complaint from the Chinese embassy in London.
