Ar­rest made in June P.A. homi­cide

One month af­ter an ar­rest war­rant was is­sued, a 32-year-old man was taken into cus­tody in con­nec­tion with a Prince Al­bert homi­cide.

Ty­rone Non­tell, 32, is fac­ing a charge of sec­ond-de­gree mur­der in the fa­tal shoot­ing of 28-year-old Tyrell Bird. Non­tell was ar­rested Thurs­day around 6:40 a.m. dur­ing a traf­fic stop in the 500 block of 32nd Street West, Prince Al­bert po­lice said in a news re­lease.

Bird was shot in an al­ley­way in the 100 block of Ninth Street East in P.A. at around 9 p.m. on June 28. He was trans­ported to hospi­tal in Saska­toon, where he died July 2.

Non­tell was sched­uled to ap­pear Fri­day in Prince Al­bert provin­cial court.
