Police investigat­ing city’s ninth homicide this year

Regina police are treating the death of a man whose body was found in North Central on Sunday as a homicide, the city’s ninth of 2019.

The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Keenan Scott Toto of Regina.

The investigat­ion began when police responded to the 1200 block of Queen Street at approximat­ely 4 a.m. on Sunday for a report of a man lying in the street. Police and EMS located a man who was confirmed to be deceased.

Police secured the area. Police are now working with the Coroner’s Service of Saskatchew­an to investigat­e Toto’s death. Last year, six deaths in the city were deemed homicides.
