Police investigating city’s ninth homicide this year
Regina police are treating the death of a man whose body was found in North Central on Sunday as a homicide, the city’s ninth of 2019.
The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Keenan Scott Toto of Regina.
The investigation began when police responded to the 1200 block of Queen Street at approximately 4 a.m. on Sunday for a report of a man lying in the street. Police and EMS located a man who was confirmed to be deceased.
Police secured the area. Police are now working with the Coroner’s Service of Saskatchewan to investigate Toto’s death. Last year, six deaths in the city were deemed homicides.
