Senior goes to hospital after car strikes trees
A senior citizen is in hospital with serious injuries after her vehicle struck two trees on south Albert Street.
Regina police were dispatched at noon Monday to a single-vehicle collision after a southbound vehicle veered onto the green space separating Albert Street from the service road. The vehicle struck a tree and then a second tree.
Police asked motorists to avoid south Albert Street as officers continued to investigate. Vehicles entering the west service road were diverted.
Police couldn’t indicate in the immediate aftermath of the crash what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
