The Caligari Project: The Aftermath celebrates the German expression­ist arts festival that happened in Regina throughout 2016. See two local films screen, and hear experts talk about their love of German expression­ism. That’s Thursday, Jan. 30, 6:30 p.m. at the Regina Public Library Film Theatre.

Jenna-lee Hyde stars in Every Brilliant Thing to kick off the Globe Theatre’s Sandbox Series. She’s the lone actor in “this astonishin­gly funny comedy about depression and the lengths we go to for those we love.” It runs Thursday through Sunday (Jan. 30-Feb. 2) in the evenings, plus matinees on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Toronto-based poet, Randell Adjei and Regina-based poet and rapper Infored perform Thursday, Jan. 30, 7 p.m. at the Mackenzie Art Gallery’s Shumiatche­r Theatre.

Plaza Plays Place opens at Neutral Ground art gallery on Saturday, Feb. 1, 8-11 p.m. Artists Hannah Doucet, John Patterson and Rachael Thorleifso­n collaborat­e on the exhibition, which runs through March 21. They present an artist workshop Saturday, 1-2 p.m., outdoors (meet at the gallery and come dressed for the weather).

It’s free admission day at the

Mackenzie Art Gallery on Saturday, Feb. 1, and the launch of African-canadian Black History Month. Starting at 1 p.m., there’s singing, dancing and a play being performed.

There’s an afternoon jam at Broadway’s Lounge on Saturday, Feb. 1, 4-8 p.m. Then, Code Blue performs at 9 p.m.

Taste of Cathedral features food from more than a dozen Cathedral area restaurate­urs — including Malinche, Sinfully Sweet Cathedral Bakery and The Creek in Cathedral Bistro — plus music by Scott Pettigrew, on Saturday, Feb. 1, 5:30-10 p.m. at the Italian Club. Jazzy singer-songwriter Ava Wild performs with a full band at T+A Vinyl on Saturday, Feb. 1, 8 p.m. Tickets are $15.

One Night Only is a night of comedy and live music. Hitchhiker­s Improv people Cole Nicolson, Cameron Chomyn and Andrew Parry perform the funny, and singer-songwriter Marissa

The Regina Philharmon­ic Chorus presents its annual fundraiser, A Canadian Winter, on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2 p.m. at the

There’s jazz and blues music every Monday night at Bushwakker, starting at 8 p.m.

The Alley Dawgs play classic country covers at the Fat Badger every Tuesday, 9:30 p.m.

Leah Marie Dorion’s art exhibition Thirteen Moons opens at the Dunlop Art Gallery (Sherwood Village branch) on Wednesday, Feb. 5. The artist will speak during a reception starting at 7 p.m. “Through her work, Dorion restores Indigenous women’s teachings and connects us to the sacred and healing natural law cycles.” The exhibition runs through March 27.

Katie Markham performs The Adele Songbook during Someone Like You at the Casino Regina Show Lounge on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 at casinoregi­na.com.

Exit, Pursued By A Bear is on at the Globe Theatre through Feb. 9. It’s a “dark, wacky revenge comedy” wherein wife Nan Carter teaches her abuser husband Kyle a lesson. Tickets are available through globetheat­relive. com.

Jack FM’S Battle of the Cover bands has its finale on Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. at Revival Music Room.
