-

William Shatner will travel to space, setting the record for the oldest person to do so. The Star Trek actor, 90, will fly courtesy of Jeff Bezos's aerospace company, Blue Origin. He'll board the New Shepard rocket for the NS-18 mission departing Oct. 12. Shatner will be accompanied by Audrey Powers, Blue Origin's vice-president of mission and flight operations, as well as crew members Chris Boshuizen and Glen de Vries. “I've heard about space for a long time now,” Shatner said. “I'm taking the opportunity to see it for myself. What a miracle.”
