As­sault with weapon at Rich­mond Hill high school

Two teenagers were ar­rested by York Re­gional Po­lice fol­low­ing an as­sault with a weapon at a Rich­mond Hill high school on Wednes­day, Oc­to­ber 16, 2013.

The in­ci­dent oc­curred at a school near Bayview Av­enue and El­gin Mills Road East.

Ac­cord­ing to York Re­gional Po­lice, the in­ci­dent in­volved a small group of youths at the school. Po­lice were called to the scene at ap­prox­i­mately 12:30 p.m.

No charges were laid at the time of the ar­rest as the of­fi­cer used dis­cre­tion and pro­ceeded by way of the Youth Re­fer­ral Pro­gram un­der the Youth Crim­i­nal Jus­tice Act.

The vic­tim did not sus­tain any se­ri­ous phys­i­cal in­juries.
