Richmond Hill Post - - Crime -

York Regional Police is currently seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a violent robbery at a gas station in the town of Richmond Hill on Sept. 21.

A 34-year-old male victim sustained serious injuries after an assault that occurred shortly before 1:30 p.m. that day. Investigators believe the victim had posted an advertisement for a pair of iPhones online and arranged to meet with the suspect, believed to be a prospective buyer, at the gas station.

When the suspect arrived, he assaulted the victim and proceeded to steal the mobile phones before fleeing the scene. The victim was then taken to hospital with serious injuries.

York Regional Police has posted a detailed description on its website, along with a link to a video that captured the incident. The police urge anyone with information concerning this crime to come forward.
