2016 report to readers

The best and busiest year in Post history

Richmond Hill Post - - News - by Lorne London

Like most Canadians, we at Post have spent the last few weeks going over the books for tax season.

Although the media has been awash in stories about the demise of print, we are proud to say that last year we achieved a 3.8 per cent increase in ad sales and a more than four per cent increase in page counts.

In the past year, postcity.com, our website, has delivered well over 2 million pageviews; we have 8,000 Twitter followers; and in our web editor’s words, we are killin’ it on Instagram.

You may be asking yourself what we are doing with this additional revenue. We have just finished several Environics focus groups with local residents and commissioned a readership study by Ipsos-Reid in which they will ask hundreds of you what you think we can do better. Also, we’ve hired an additional news editor and an assistant web editor to bolster our amazing team.

I’d personally like to thank the dedicated editors, photographers, account managers and designers who work tirelessly to bring you your Post every month, and of course most importantly we want to acknowledge you, our readers and advertisers who made the past year the best and busiest in Post City history. Thanks for always saying you saw it in the Post.
