A TRIP TO THE WEST COAST

8th + Main’s first location in Vancouver was at Main Street and 8th Avenue. Now T.O. is home to the first out-of-province location. The shop carries a bit of everything at affordable prices. Among its goods, you will find Cheap Monday, Vero Moda, RVCA, Only & Sons, Native Youth and Just Black. Just Black’s high-waisted jeans ($50) are popular, as are its rompers ($35 to $50). They are also stocking up on sunglasses ($14). 8th + Main, 211 Yonge St.

UNIQUE AND UPCYCLED

Four years ago, Kyle Burton started refurbishing vintage furniture and opened an Etsy store that morphed into a T.O. shop. His style varies from industrial mixed with rustic to mid-century modern, nautical and Scandinavian. “I like to stock up on things that would serve well as prop rentals: dish and utensil sets, glassware, typewriters, antique books, the list goes on,” he says. “But my unique and hard-to-find pieces are always popular.” Second Voyage, 246 Queen St. E.
